Physical, cognitive and social changes are extremely stressful for preteenagers and teenagers.

Teenagers try to get out of parental control and make their own identity which creates stress.

Higher pressure to excel in academics from parents and teachers.

Fear and negative thoughts about future like not getting best college, not getting good job, falling behind friends of same age etc.

Too much involvement in social media like Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp where each activity is public to friends, creates unnecessary stress.
