PTCL uses circuit-switched network for land-line phones while internet is carried over packet-switched network over a single cable. What are some advantages of packet switching as compared with circuit switching keeping in mind the scenario of a metropolitan city e.g. Karachi? Also discuss issues faced by the home/small-office customers when they shift to Wi-Fi as compared to wired-networks (twisted pair cable and fiber-optic cable).
