Public prosecutor is --------------- lawyer.

A public prosecutor is also a lawyer but more importantly he/she is a government officer appointed by the state government to represent in or conduct criminal proceedings on behalf of the state. In simple words, every public Prosecutor is an advocate but every advocate is not a public prosecutor.
