Here is your answer,

==============================================================

Artery carries oxygenated blood, veins carry deoxygenated blood.

Only exception is pulmonary artery (it is an artery because it carries blood away from heart) carries deoxygenated blood.

Pulmonary vein(carries blood toward heart) carries oxygenated blood from lungs.

Generally arteries carries pure blood that is oxygenated blood whereas veins carry impure blood that is deoxygenated blood so in case of Pulmonary artery it carries deoxygenated blood whereas pulmonary veins carries oxygenated blood
