It has been taken from the book "The Road Less Travelled by M Scott Peck.' one night i recently decided to spend some free time building a happier and closer relationship with my fourteen year old daughter for several weeks she had been urging me to play chess with her so i suggested a game she eagerly accepted and we settled down to a most even and challenging match it was a school night however and at nine o clock my daughter asked if i could hurry my moves because she needed to get to bed she had to get up at six in the morning I told her come on you can go to bed a little later for once you shouldnt start games that you cant finish were having fun finally she pleaded please daddy please hurry your moves i replied chess is a serious game if youre going to play it well youre going to play it slowly ​
