An old lady sold matches at a school corner for one rupee a box. Every day a young man could hurry by and throw one rupee into her cup without taking any matches.
One day the lady called out to him just a minute.
" I know " he said "you're wondering why I leave one rupee every day but never take any matches? "
"No" , the lady said "I wanted to let you know that they have gone up to two rupees".
