Punishment is required to teach children moral and social values to what extend you agree or diagree

I agree to the fact that Punishment is Essential for Children to Make them realize that the Mistake they've done is a Wrong thing ! so that the next time they shouldn't repeat .

But when a child gets repeated punishments , then he/she would take it granted rather than learning from mistakes and the child would deny to listen the Elders, So its Better to Teach the child about the mistakes in a good manner, and encourage them more by Correcting them rather giving more punishments.
