Despite the number of people and nations affected by Corona virus, the people of Punjab are not taking it seriously. With huge numbers of people dying each day, in developed nations, Punjabis need to understand that the disease is threat to their (and others' lives) and the government is trying to keep its citizens as safe as possible.
The lockdown that has been issued for the entire nation is for the safety of the public. Since Covid19 is a highly communicable disease, it is crucial to stop it from spreading. The only way to do that is to keep people away from each other. An infected person might or might not die, but he/she can certainly pass on the infection to someone whose immune system is not that strong. So, it is everyone's responsibility to collectively save the elders and kids.
Secondly, roaming on the streets during a curfew is not a sign of bravery. It in fact shows ignorance. An adult is nothing but irresponsible and foolish is he/she feels that the curfew orders do not need to be followed. The person is also not a true Indian, for he/she is being selfish and not thinking about the nation and the crisis that the government is dealing with.
Furthermore, a nation like India does not have medical facilities or expertise like countries like Italy or America. Today even those nations are struggling to keep their citizens alive. They are running out of medical supplies and staff. Imagine what can happen in India, where medical centres are ill-equipped and the population is huge.
Given all these reasons, Punjabis need to stop adding to the existing problems. Instead, they should stay home and stay safe. Keeping themselves and their family safe is the least that any Indian can do at the moment. There is a very thin line between foolishness and bravery. Please do not cross it.
