Gulfs :-

A deep inlet of the sea almost surrounded by a land with a mouth is called a gulf.

Gulfs are formed by the moments in the earth crust. The Earth's tectonic plates may rift or break apart creating a gulf. Or, one plate may fold under another, a process called subduction. This subduction may create gulf by making rocks under the ocean.

Bays :-

An inlet of sea or other body of water usually smaller than gulf.

Bays forms in many ways like plate tectonics, the process of continents drifting together and rifting a part causes the formation of bays. The Bay of Bengal the largest bay in the world, was formed by plate tectonics.
