Purse contains 25-paisa and 50-paisa coins. The number of 25-paisa coins is three times the number of 50-paisa coins. If the total money in the purse is Rs 50, find the number of coins of each type​

let the number of 50 paise coins is=x

therefore the number of 25 paise coins is =3x

now ... according to the problem....

$x \times 50 + 3x \times 25 = 5000 \\ = > 125x = 5000 \\ = > x = \frac{5000}{125} = 40$

therefore the number of 50pause coins=40 pcs

and the number of 25paise coins is =3×40=120pcs
