when we drop blood in the pure water it mixes with water and the blood has no change. when we drop blood on the salt solution then the colour of blood will change. when we drop blood in water containing 5m glucose and 0.9% nacl then the blood will react to the nacl and glucose. it can't be explainable you have to do this activity then u automaticaly see what happens to the blood.

A- If you add blood in pure water, the molecules of water enter the blood cells through osmosis. The red blood cells will swell up and eventually burst.
B-If you add blood in saline solution which is a hyertonic solution, it results in the shrinkage of red blood cells because the water diffuses out of the cells.
C- 0.9% nacl is isotonic to blood so nothing will happen whereas the 5M of glucose of solution in the same solution will trigger plasmolysis due to dehydration of cells.
