put dry raisins in plain water and leave them fir some time. then palce them in a concentrated solution of sugar and salt. what do you observe in both cases???

raisins gain water and swell whn placed in pure water due to endosmosis. when such swollen raisins are placed on the concentrated solution, each of them loses water & consequently shrinks again due to exosmosis

1)when you put dry raisins in in plain water and leave them for some time,the raisins sewlls up.
2)And when you put them in a concectrated solution they will shrink dut to osmosis.
