So observe closely

first number is 5

then 2 is added then 5 is added and lastly it is divided by 2

So the above statement when put in action, looks like

this is how our pattern progresses but there is a slight change in this.

6+2 = 8, 8 + 6 = 14, 14÷2 = 7
