Hey user
Here is your answer
p ( x ) = x^4 - 3x^2 + 2x + 1
Zero of x - 1 is 1
So by using remainder theorem p ( 1 ) will be the remainder
p ( 1 ) = x^4 - 3x^2 + 2x + 1
= ( 1 )^4 - 3 ( 1 )^3 + 2 ( 1 ) + 1
= 1 - 3 + 2 + 1
= - 2 + 2 + 1
= 1
So the remainder is 1 .
Thank you .
