Here's the answer to your question.

The Pythagorean triplet for 12 are 5 and 13.

This is because 5^2 + 12^2 = 13^2

Therefore, 5, 12 & 13 are Pythagorean triplets

2m,( mxm)-1,(mxm)+1
if,2m=12.....then,
m=12/2=6,
(mxm)-1=(6x6)-1,
36-1=35...
(mxm)+1=(6x6)+1=36+1=37
members of the pythagorean triplet are 12,35,37.
check- 
(12x12)+(35x35)=(37x37)
144+1225=1369=(37x37)
