2.The main theme of this story is filial love—the deep love that fathers have for their children. In the story we encounter three examples of filial love—the author and his daughter Mini; the Kabuliwala and his own daughter in Afghanistan; and the Kabuliwala and Mini.
3.The Kabuliwala, was selling wares to someone, the person took a scarf and refused to pay for it as according to him it was already "his". In the burst of anger the Kabuliwala took a knife and stabbed the man. He pleaded guilty in court and was sent to jail for 8-10 years.
4.Martin Luther King, Jr. had a dream that all people would be judged on who each person was as a person and not on the color of that person's skin. He dreamed we would follow the ideas in the Declaration of Independence that all people are created equal.
