The Reign of Terror was a dark and violent period of time during the French Revolution. Radicals took control of the revolutionary government. They arrested and executed anyone who they suspected might not be loyal to the revolution.

1. Complete sympathy of local population:-
Inspite of being one of the most inhuman events in history of civilization. The 'Great Terror' had complete support of the local people( who were mainly very poor and underprivileged),who actually used to watch public executions while comprising big crowds.
2.Thoughtless movement :-
Not much space was left for intellectual reasoning, as almost everyone with any connection to the privileged tried in the people's court, and mostly executed unfairly.
3.A hypocritical and ironically unideal movement:-
The terror was justified on the grounds of protecting the new found French Republic, but instead it was establishing and cementing the absolute rule of 1 man - 'Maximilian Robbespierre'.
