1. Patrick's classmates were amazed because usually Patrick was lazy and used to get very low marks. But when Patrick worked hard and got A's, his classmates were surprised.
2. a group consisting of two parents and their children living together as a unit.
3. The kite looks bright when it is in the blue sky. It dives, dips, snaps and soars like a ship. Riding on the wind the kite reaches to the crest. Immediately with a sudden gust it takes rest and with the fall of the wind it goes loose.

5. The dog first chose a big, strong and fierce wolf as his master. Once, the dog saw that the wolf was afraid that the bear would eat them up. Since the dog wanted to serve only the strongest, he left the wolf and asked the bear who was stronger than the wolf to be his master.
