q. 1 Assuming all the books are the same price, which is the better buy three books for the price of two or buy one get a second book half price.

q. 2 A confusing advertisement at out local garden centre said sale upto half price, do you think that what this actually said was what the garden centre intended.

q. 3 This question illustrate a common example of lack of clarity in using fraction. A year ago there were two hundred children in a school of which 80 we're having school lunches everyday. This year the head teacher reports the proportion of children having school lunches everyday as increase by a fifth since last year. why is this Ambiguous if they are still two hundred children in the school what two different things might the statement mean.
