1.When we mix sand and water, no reaction takes place. The sand simply settles down at the bottom of the water container. This is because sand is heavier than water and hence cannot float in water.
2. When sunflower oil is mixwd with water , oils are hydrophobic, or “water fearing.” Instead of being attracted to water molecules, oil molecules are repelled by them. As a result, when you add oil to a cup of water the two don't mix with each other.
