Q.1. Chloroform contains chlorine but gives
no reaction with AgNO3 solution. Why?​

Answer:

Chloroform is a gas.So it doesn't give white precipitate with silver nitrate solution.

Because chlorine is more reactive than silver hence chlorine fails to displace silver hence it is the reason.
