Properties of Acids:

They are corrosive in nature.

They are good conductors of electricity.

They have pH less than 7.

They react with bases and undergo neutralization reaction i.e., acids form salt and water upon reaction with a base.

Properties of Bases:

They are soapy when touched and bitter in taste.

When used in aqueous state they are good conductors of electricity.

they have ph value > 7

answer 2 (1)

calcium oxide and it formula is cao

(2). Sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide are not interchangeable in either the proportions required or the properties produced in making soaps. "Hot process" soap making also uses lye as the main ingredient.

(3) Descaling is the process of removing oxide deposits from a heated stock, either before or during forging operations. Scales are formed on a metal surface during heat treatment processes. Oxide scales discolor the metal surface and hinder subsequent finishing operations.
