Q.1. Draw a circle with centre P and
radius 3.5cm. Take point Q at a distance
7.2cm from the centre. Construct
tangents to the circle from point Q.​

Steps of Construction:

(i) Draw a circle of radius 3.5 cm.

(ii) Take any point K on it.

(iii) Draw a chord KO.

(iv) Take any point A on the bigger arc formed by K and O.

(v) Join OA and KA.

(vi) Draw a ray KP making an angle equal to ∠OAX and OK as one side and vertex K.

Thus the required tangent can be drawn

draw a circle of radius 3.5 CM at centre p

from the centre p take a line segment 7.2

then p and q take a half art and draw perpendicular

then midpoint of the perpendicular put put the compass and draw a circle

then the circle which intersect the first circle put the two points from there and take the the line segment draw the line segment from here
