Answer:

a) When a force acts on an object, the object may change shape by bending, stretching or compressing - or a combination of all three shape changes. ... Pull an object's ends apart, eg when a rubber band is stretched. Push an object's ends together, eg when an empty drinks can is squashed

b) force is a push, pull, or dragging on an object that affects its motion. ... The action from a force can cause an object to accelerate, to decelerate, to stop or to change direction. Since any change in velocity is considered acceleration, it can be said that a force on an object results in the acceleration of an object.

c) the force applied on the object is in the direction of its motion, the speed of the object increases. If the force is applied in the direction opposite to the direction of motion, then it results in a decrease in the speed of the object. ... Thus, a force may bring a change in the state of motion of an object.

Answer:

What is Force?

A ‘Force’ is a vector quantity that can be described as a push or pull on an object resulting from the object’s interaction with another object. Whenever there is an interaction between two objects, the objects experience an equal and opposing force on each other. In other words both the objects ‘exert force’ on each other. Force only exists as a result of an interaction. If there is no interaction, the objects no longer experience the force. Force is measured in units called Newtons (N), named after the famous scientist Sir Issac Newton.
