The concept of “indian” cannot be attributed to our “ancient ancestors” so it's safe to put as ancient ancestors since our ancestors did not draw boundaries as their philosophy was “ krunvantu vishvam Aryam” meaning let this entire universe become Aryans and this is based on Vedic ideology.

Aryans were Peace loving people who were in search of universal God or power and they didn't believe in God unlike other religionists. This search for something “super conscious state of being” or a state of “Sachidananda” made them always quite, serene, chaste, without greed, attachment, vengeance against others and peaceful coexistence with Nature.

They were involved in agriculture and peaceful technology with literary works. Their language was highly refined with advanced grammar which even today puzzles the modern scholars. One example is classical Sanskrit grammar called “Ashtadyayi” which is something unbelievable for today scholars.

They had their own National Anthem or National prayer since I can't reproduce it here I suffix it to say they prayed for goodness of all which included Nature, animals, vegetation, friends and foes alike. They used to sit under a tree or enter caves for their reclusive meditational life free from any disturbance. They self regulated themselves with civic sense like residential layouts close to flowing rivers beds as they were highly civilized however, mahayogi Shri Aurobindo even refused to accept the word “Civilized” in this context and further they administered provincial type of governance.

They had their own army trained in martial arts, armoury, danurvidya, horse riding etc., we have to add here that they possessed Occult Powers and mysticism to neutralize their enemies. The subject is voluminous however I have briefly dealt with for the benefit of our friends.
Hope this will help you. Please mark it as brainliest.☺️
