If the person is suffering from bleeding gums then the main cause is the buildup of plaque at the gum line. This will lead to initial stage of gum disease called gingivitis, or also called inflamed gums.
If the Plaque is not removed then it will harden into tartar. This will increase in bleeding and it will convert into advanced form of gum and jaw bone disease called periodontitis.
