Given :  x- y= y+y

To Find : using whole numbers   check if they are correct or not

Solution:

 x- y=  y + y

=> x = 3y

This property will hold true if x = 3y

Let say  y = 1 , x = 3

then x - y = 3 - 1 = 2

y + y = 1 + 1 = 2

2 = 2

But this will not hold true in all other case

y  = 1   x  = 2

=> x - y  = 2 - 1 = 1

& y + y = 1 + 1  = 2

1 ≠2

x = 7  ,  y = 5

=>  x - y  = 7 - 5 = 2

y + y = 5 + 5 = 10

2 ≠ 10

x- y= y+y  is not True for all whole numbers except when x = 3y
