The commonest type, of course, is the physical handicap. Helen Keller lost both sight and hearing in infancy. However, she triumphed over her cruel physical disabilities to achieve brilliant carrier as writer, social activist, the campaigner on behalf of people with special needs all over the world. Franklin. D. Roosevelt had polio when still a young man,but that did not stop him from becoming the President of U.S.A. Glenn Cunningham, the great track star overcame an almost fatal injury to his legs all these people conquered disabilities with courage. But handicaps are not always the spectacular kind. You may be small built, so that posses a difficulty to compete in athletics. You may be very weak in a subject at school and have to compete against students with greater ability in that subject. You may be from a poor family so that deprives you of many comforts and advantages that your rich friends enjoy. So, practically, everyone at some time or another faces such personal obstacles. What we need is courage to overcome the obstacles in life.​
