Step-by-step explanation:

1) (9a+16b)+(13a+2b)

9a+16b+13a+2b

9a+13a+16b+2b

22a+18b

2)

3) (4xy - 9z)-(3xy-16z)

4xy-9z-3xy+16z

4xy-3xy+16z-9z

1xy+7z

4) 4r*(12p +17q)

4r*12p +4r*17q

48rp + 68rq

5) 10=2k+ 5

10-5=2k

5=2k

5/2=k

hope it helps you out.. ✨

Given:

(1)  Add: 9a + 16b ; 13a + 2b

In which perform addition, we get

9a + 16b + 13a + 2b

= 9a + 13a + 16b + 2b

=22a + 18b

(2)  An expression in which multiplication is the only operation is called a operator

(3) Subtract: (4xy - 9z) ; (3xy - 16z)

In which perform subtraction, we get

4xy - 9z - 3xy - 16z

=4xy -3xy -9z -16z

= 1xy - 25z

(4)  Multiply: (12p + 17q) × 4r

In which perform multiplication

4r(12p + 17q)

=48pr + 68qr

(5)  Solve the equation: 10 = 2k + 5

In which find value of k, we get

10 = 2k + 5

2k = 10 - 5

2k = 5

k = 5/2

Hence the answers are :

(1) 22a + 18b

(2) An expression in which multiplication is the only operation is called a operator

(3) 1xy - 25z

(4) 48pr + 68qr

(5) k = 5/2
