Answer:

question number 1)

Given:- (A) Area of a square=144 square cm.

Find:- Perimeter of square (P)=?

Solution:-

Area (A)=length×width

Because all sides are of same size of a square

So side (S) of a square= √144

S(one side of square)=12 cm

Now perimeter (P)= 4×s

P= 4×12

P(Perimeter of square)=48 cm. Answer

question number 2)

We know Area of rectangle = length × width

Length of rectangle = 8 cm.

Width of rectangle is w cm.

Area of rectangle = 96 cm^2

Area of rectangle = length × width

96 cm^2 = 8 cm × w cm.

8w = 96

w = 96/8

w = 12 cm.

The width of rectangle is 12cm.

Now Perimeter of rectangle

Perimeter = 2 (length + width)

Perimeter = 2 ( 8 cm. + 12 cm)

Perimeter = 2 ( 20 cm)

Perimeter = 40 cm.

Answer : the perimeter of rectangle is 40 cm.

question number 3)

Given, Perimeter of square =44 cm

We know perimeter of square =4a

where

a is side of square

4a=44cm⇒[a=11cm]

Area of square = (a) ^2=(11) ^2

Area = 121 cm square

Hence, area of square is 121cm ^2

question number 4)

rectangles can have the same perimeter but different area by building rectangles and organizing information in a chart.
