Q.1. The width of a rectangle is 4cm. If the perimeter must be at least 56 cm. Find the smallest possible length it can have.

2(l+b) = 56
2(l+4) = 56
2l + 8 = 56
2l = 48
l = 24cm

let l be the least possible length

least perimeter = 56 cm

so, 2×( l + b ) = 56

so, 2×( l + 4 ) = 56

or, 2 l = 56-8 = 48

so, l = 24 cm
