Q-1) what about a rubber band can it change its shape ? Is it solid.
Q-2) Sugar and salt kept in different jars gain the shape of their respective jars . Are they solid?

1. A rubber band can change its shapeon stretching but it is a solid. This happens because pressure is applied on the band which makes it to change the shape and it gains its originalshape when released. So, its a solid. ARubber band changes shape Under force and regains the same shapewhen the force is removed.

2. The salt and sugar are originally the solid particles but, they are crystalline solids which have a regular and identical shape for each molecule.

Also, they are very minute in size what you must have seen in your daily use products, so as first they have regular shape and second they are minute in size, they arrange in a regular pattern and fill all the space of the container so that, they seems like they have taken the shape of the container.
