Weeds have a harmful effect on  the crop because they compete with the plant for nutrition, sunlight and other necessities to grow and if they are not taken out before their flowering stage then it can lead to many weeds arising.

They take lesser time than the normal plants to grow due to which if they are seen, immediately steps are taken to remove them.
