Explanation:
- The study of subjects such as politics, liberty, property, justice, law, rights, and laws enforcement by authorities is defined as political theory. It encompasses what they are, what legitimises a government, what rights & freedoms it can protect, and what law is and what the duties of citizens are towards the nation/govt, if need be when citizens can legitimately overthrow the government. Policy theory helps one to properly comprehend the concepts which have shaped our politics comprising equality, freedom, democracy, justice, & individuality. Political theory is, in particular, a component of political science that examines how to create a better political world
- "Liberty & Equality" are closely related to each other. There is no value of liberty in the absence of equality. Liberty & equality exist in a state of tension, but they are mutually dependent on each other because liberty is meaningless without equality and without equality there will be no real liberty. Equality is essential to liberty and makes liberty possible. Establishing complete equality also results in loss of liberty.
- Censorship happens as persons/organisations attempt to discourage others from speaking, publishing and/or representing words & images. Censors seek to restrict freedom of "thought & expression" by limiting spoken words, symbolic messages, printed matter, books, freedom of association, art, movies, music , television programs, & Internet sites
- The policy of offering special rights, most often to women, to the underprivileged and downtrodden parts of society is defined as protective discrimination. The practise is quite prominent in India wherein it is institutionalised and has been enshrined in our Indian constitution. There are various justifications that "protective discrimination does not violate" the principle of justice or fairness. Many claim that protection discrimination is a case to rectify the past – wrongs of "unjustified discrimination" against certain parts of society such as blacks, lower castes, tribals, women, and so on. Also protective discrimination’s is one of the ways to rectify the imbalance in the distribution of good & services amongst people across a nation.
