you say he is tactful as well as full of commonsense?
आपके विचार से लेखक कैसा आदमी है? क्या आप कहेंगे कि वह चतुर और व्यवहारिक ज्ञान से भरा
हुआ है?
Ans. The narrator, Mr. Herriot is a veterinary surgeon. He is a very intelligent person. He
is very ta ful as well as full of common sense. He at once understands the problem
of Tricki when he meets Tricki in the street. He suggest Mrs. Pumphrey, the mistress
of Tricki, to cut down the rich diet of Tricki. He also suggests for plenty of exercises.
Again, when the narrator gets the call from Mrs. Pumphrey, he does not waste a
minute. He at once takes Tricki to the surgery where he gives no medicinal treatment
He just gives Tricki only water for two days. He also makes Tricki play and jump
with other dogs at the surgery. In the end he cures the serious illness of Tricki. Thus
it is quite clear that he is tactful person as well as full of common sense.
Q2. Do you think Tricki was happy to go home? What do you think will happen
now ?
क्या आपके विचार से 'Tricki' घर जाकर खुश था? आपके विचार से अब क्या होगा?
Ans. Of course, Tricki was happy to go home. When he saw his mistress, Mrs. Pumphrey
after a fortnight he took off the narrotor's arms in a tremendous leap and sailed into
Mrs. Pumphrey's lap. She had to defend herself as he swarmed over her, licking her
face and barking. He was missing her very much. Now, he was healthy and must be
thinking about his rich diet and other luxaries, he received at home.
I think Mrs. Pumphrey will realise her folly of pampering. She will not give too
much to eat to Tricki. She will also give him sufficient exercises and Tricki may not
fall ill again
Q.3. Do you think this is a real-life episode, or mere fiction? Or is it a mixture of both?
क्या आपके विचार से यह एक वास्तविक जीवन की कहानी है या केवल काल्पनिक है? या यह दोनों
का मिश्रण है?
Ans. I think this is a mixture of both a real-life episode and a fiction. The over feeding of
dog and giving so much attention seem real. But providing different beds and bowls
for different occasions to a dog seem a fiction. Again sending dozens of eggs, wine,
and brandy for a dog also seem a fiction. In fact the part of the narrator seems real
while the part of Mrs. Pumphrey seems mere a fiction. So, it can be said that it a
mixture of both.
