Ans.1-If a mountain will lie in the way of a rain-bearing wind so, the mountains will stop the clouds and as the clouds are full of rain and the weight is heavy so, the clouds even can't fly from over the mountains.So, the clouds needs to do Precipitation (needs to rain over there) as, after precipitation (rainfall) the clouds will be light in weight.But, after raining in the windward side they doesn't supports to much of rain and then the other side of the mountains ( The Leeward side ) remains dry.The Leeward side gets only few drops of rainfall.
