1) Evaporation is a slow process than boiling.

2) When the surface area is increased the the rate of evaporation is increased.

3) The saucer has greater surface area as compared to the cup whenever the surface is increased the substance get cooler faster.

1.Evaporation is the slow process.This is bcoz evaporation is a surface phenomenon whereas boiling is a bulk phenomenon.So,evaporation requires more time.

2.If surface area increases,rate of evaporation increases and vice versa.

3.When the hot tea is in the cup,the surface area is small.Whereas ,when the hot tea is kept in saucer,the surface area is more.So the rate of evaporation is faster in saucer than that in the cup.So,we are able to sip hot tea in saucer easily than from cup...
