4+6 = 10
10 < 11

∴They cannot form any triangle

b.6cm , 7cm, 15cm
6+7 = 15
15 = 15

∴They cannot form any triangle

c.6cm, 12cm, 5cm
6+5 = 11
11 < 12

∴They cannot form any triangle

d.8cm, 5cm, 10cm
8+5 = 13
13 > 10
Also, 5+10 > 8
And, 8+10 > 5

∴They can form a triangle.

Ans. 3x-y=2

3a - 4 = 2
⇒3a = 2 + 4
⇒3a = 6

∴a = 2
