Functions of Chlorophyll

In addition to giving plants their green colour, chlorophyll is vital for photosynthesis as it helps to channel the energy of sunlight inti chemical energy.With photosynthesis, chlorophyll absorbs energy and then tranforms water and carbon dioxide into oxygen and carbohydrates.

Functions of Stomata

Plants 'breathe' too, but they don't do it through tiny openings in leaves called stomata.Stomata open and close to allow the intake of carbon dioxide and release the oxygen.
