in ∆ABC

AD is median

ar(∆ ABD) = ar(∆ACD)

ar(∆ABD)= 1/2 ar(∆ABC)........1

in ∆ABD

BE is median

ar(∆BED)=ar(∆ABE)

ar(∆ABE)= 1/2ar(∆ABD)

from 1

ar(∆ABE)= 1/4ar(∆ABC )..........2

in ∆ABE

BF is median

ar(∆ABF) =ar(∆BFE)

ar(∆ABF)=1/2ar(∆ABE)=1/4ar(∆ABD)=1/8ar(∆ABC)

ar(∆ABF)= 1/8 ar(∆ABC)

.....hence proved
