Gibbs free energy (G) represented as:
G=H-TS.......(1)
where H is the enthalpy ,T is temperature (kelvin scale), S is entropy. straight line equation of graph is represented as:
y = mx+ c.........(2).
where m is slope of the graph. 'c' is the intercept on y axis.
comparing (1) and (2) we get,
y=G, m= -S, x= T, c= H.
hence we can infer that slop of the graph is -ve (and equals to -S).and the graph is of straight line with intercept at +ve y axis.
