ax+by = a-b ................(1)

bx-ay = a+b ................(2)

By [(1)×a] + [(2)×b]......... we get,

a²x + aby = a² - ab

b²x - aby = b² + ab

a²x + b²x = a² + b²

=) x(a²+b²) = a²+b²

=) x = 1

Putting x=1 in equation (1)

ax + by = a-b

=) a + by = a - b

=) by = -b

=) y = -1
