→ y = 2x–2

→x +3y = 15

→x + 3( 2x –2 ) =15. (because y= 2x–2)

→x + 6x – 6 = 15

→7x = 15 + 6

→7x = 21

→x=21/7

→x= 3

→y = 2x–2

→y = 2(3)–2. (because x= 3)

→y = 6–2

→y = 4
