Answer- The above question is from the chapter 'Probability'.

Let's know about sample space first.

For some experiment, sample space is a set of all the possible outcomes generated after the experiment.

It is denoted by S.

For example: If a coin is tossed, there will be two outcomes: Head (H) or Tail (T).

S = {H,T}

Given question: Write sample space when two coins are tossed.

                                                OR

Write the sample space when a dice is rolled.

Solution: When two coins are tossed, total number of outcomes = 2² = 4

S = {HH, HT, TH, TT}

                                                  OR

When a dice is rolled, total number of outcomes = 6¹ = 6.

Sample space (S) = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6}

Answer:

Given :-

  • There is a sample place when two coins tossed
  • The sample space when a die tossed.

To Find :-

The sample

Solution :-

Two coins are tossed then total outcomes = 2² = 4

Samples are

  \large \sf \bigg \lgroup \: HT \:  \:  \:  TH \:  \:  \: TT \:  \:  \: HH \bigg \rgroup

Now,

When a die thrown

 \large \sf \bigg \lgroup \: 1,2,3,4,5,6 \bigg \rgroup
