Answer:
Ozone is a molecule that formed by three atom of oxygen. However, O2 which we normally refered as oxygen, is essential for all aerobic forms of life. Ozone is a deadly poison. But at the higher level of the atmosphere, it play an important role. It shield the surface of the earth from UV radiation of sun. UV radiation from Sun is very harmful. It can cause skin cancer in human beings.
UV radiation from Sun split oxygen atom. That oxygen atom combined with other Oxygen atom and formed Ozone.

At first, decomposition reaction occur. In second case, combination reaction occurs.
