(a)  tape will be required to put around all edges = 4*edges of upper prism +4* edge of height of cuboid + 4 * length of cuboid + 4 * width of cuboid

= 4 * 10 + 4 * 16+ 4 * 8 + 4* 8

= 40 +64 +32+32

(b) The area of the bottom face in square feet = area of square

= side * side

= 8 *8

= 64 inches

in square feet we have to divide by 144= 64 /144

= 0.4444 square feet
