In 1947 India was divided into two separate countries which were the Dominion of Pakistan and the Union of India. This split occurred as a result of religious and ideological differences which caused cultural divides among citizens and was facilitated by British colonialists.

coz of this it was divide into 2 parts

The division was based on religious lines, a Muslim majority in Pakistan and a Hindu majority in India. Pakistan itself was split into two parts in the east (East Bengal, which became Bangladesh in 1971) and in the west (western Punjab). This event was to result in the biggest mass migration in history.

i hope it will help uh dear
