• Sum of three consecutive numbers = 84

To find :-

• The three numbers = ?

Solution :-

Given , that sum of three consecutive numbers = 84

Let one number be x

That means the other numbers will be x + 1 & x + 2 . Since , they are consecutive numbers they differ by one

Now , according to the question

→ x + x + 1 + x + 2 = 84

→ 3x + 3 = 84

→ 3x = 81

→ x = 27

Now , finding all the numbers

1st no. = x = 27

2nd no. = x + 1 = 27 + 1 = 28

3rd no. = x + 2 = 27 + 2 = 29

Hence , the three numbers are 27 , 28 & 29.

★ Verification :-

To verify , we need to find the sum of three numbers

27 + 28 + 29 = 84

84 = 84

LHS = RHS
