Displacement reaction is the reaction in which a more reactive metal displaces a less reactive metal from its compound.

eg > Zn + CuSO4 > ZnSO4 + Cu

Here Copper displaces Zinc from it's sulphate solution.

Whereas Double displacement reaction is the reaction in which change of ions take place among the substances.

eg> Na2SO4 + BaCl2 > 2NaCl + BaSO4

Here You can see that the change of Ions between Barium Chloride and Sodium Sulphate took place Which gave a product as sodium chloride And Barium Sulphate (Which is precipitate) .
