Heya mate, Here is ur answer
For doing this question, first we should know the characters of the image formed by a plane mirror.
The image formed by plane mirror is always :
1)of the same size as the object.
2)at the same distance from the mirror as the object.
3)is always virtual and erect.
4)is always laterally inverted, which means that your left hand will appear right.
So, lets start with ur question.....
✔Initial distance between person and the mirror=5m
✔ When he moved 2 m towards the mirror, distance between mirror and person =5-2
=3 m
We know that the image formed by plane mirror is at the same distance from the mirror as the object.
✔So, the image will be formed 3 m behind the mirror.
Now the distance between person and his image=distance between person and mirror+distance between mirror and image
=3+3
=6 m
✔✔So, distance between person and image formed by plane mirror=6 m
2) The image formed by plane mirror is always virtual and erect.
✔Convex mirror too always produces virtual and erect image.
✔So, You can take any situation.
✔The situation in which this happens in a convex lens is when image is kept between beyond centre of curvature and Center of curvature.
